| Come see New York City artist Adrian Bermeo paint semi-nude (social media friendly!) model Hardy Brooklyn and a female model into a brand new and exciting black light work of art in an intimate midtown studio setting. Photograph the process or just watch and socialize with fellow art lovers over complimentary drinks and snacks.|
As a New York native from Queens, Bermeo's work has evolved from his graffiti upbringing on the train lines to his current studio presence. Though his abstract forms, many pieces tend to collide with his urban approach towards anything fine-art related, leading the viewers to remember the importance of enjoying the moment and releasing our egos. Life is now. Seeing beauty in the uncommon and witnessing how ideas can clash or interact in daily situations has typically been Bermeo's direction in recent works. "At this point in my life, I move that we all learn from one another and listen when the Universe is speaking," he says.
Up-and-coming performance artist Hardy Brooklyn was born and raised in Brooklyn and Nassau County. Hardy was the black sheep of his community, stifled by the conservative environment and society's expectations. Hardy was able to rise above it and became successful in many different industries. On New Year's Day 2016, Hardy and a friend walked into a party and were chosen to be bodypainted. Since then, he has been active in the bodypainting and underground arts, music, and fashion scene. His energy is synonymous with being the life of the party.
